Anne lives and gardens near Heidelberg in Germany. She initiated and organises the German snowdrop event “Schneeglöckchentage im Luisenpark”. After studying Zoology at Oxford, she embarked on a career in scientific publishing, which kept her from in-depth gardening for many years. However, she managed to squeeze in training courses in horticulture and garden design. She visited and studied well-known gardens, both in Germany and Britain, and gained valuable experience experimenting with plants in her own gardens. Eventually, she followed her heart and left publishing to become a garden designer. Ten years into her new vocation and many happy customers later, she found time for this book, a declaration of love for a small plant that gives great joy.
